Our Story

Aloha! I’m Alice, the founder of Threads of Aloha.

You can say I’m a haole girl who completely fell in love the islands and the spirit of aloha.

But the story behind this brand did not begin with clothing. It began with a moment that changed my life forever.

While living in Honolulu, I was hit by a car while crossing the street in a tragic accident. I almost didn’t survive. My faith was tested in ways I never imagined, and I faced a long road of healing, including learning how to walk all over again.

But through it all, God was with me.

During my recovery, I experienced something that deeply touched my heart. Even though my entire family was in Las Vegas, my local friends and co workers here in Hawaii surrounded me with love, care, and support. They checked in on me, helped me, prayed for me, and treated me like family.

That’s when I truly experienced what Aloha really means.

Aloha is more than just a greeting. It’s passion. It’s kindness. Its community. It’s showing up for people when they need it most.

That experience changed me forever.

During that season of healing, God placed a vision on my heart - to share love, kindness, faith, and the spirit of aloha wherever I go.

That vision became Threads of Aloha.

This brand is more than clothing. It’s a message. A reminder that kindness matters. Faith matters. And that even when life knocks us down, God can lift us back up stronger than before.

I recently moved back to the island and I’m excited to see what God has planned for this next chapter. My hope is that Threads of Aloha becomes more than a brand — that it becomes a community built on love, encouragement, and faith.

And if a haole girl can help spread a little more aloha in the world… I think that’s a pretty good mission.
